Why pressure washing is important for a house:
As a homeowner you may have wondered if you should have the exterior of your home cleaned. Here is something to think about. The exterior of your home is most likely vinyl siding (polyvinyl chloride). It is exposed to UV rays, movement from the wind, expansion from temperature/moisture changes, rain and plant/ insect parasitical infestation.
The siding of a house does not get a break, it's out there 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Uv rays break down the coating of the siding and the plants (fungi) growing on it (like all plants) need a place to anchor and feed. When left untreated, the fungi grow and as the grow, they add weight. The extra weight might seem small however it can be substantial enough to dislodge the panel of siding it is growing on. Once it is dislodged the opening creates a "rooms available" sign to spiders, hornets and other insects small enough to make it through the opening.
It's bad mojo and not very appealing to most people. I have soft washed houses that had literally hundreds of spiders living behind the siding. As I washed the house, groups of these spiders would exit the siding and get launched to their death by my soft wash system. The sodium hypochlorite made their recently vacated home uninhabitable for the foreseeable future. So, yes washing the exterior of your house is a good idea if you desire longevity for the investment, you worked hard to obtain.
